I'm doing my coursework plan for Wednesday ( but my teacher wants a draft by tomorrow) and one of my hypotheses is 'Year 10 students are better at estimating shorter periods of time. For example estimates of 30 seconds will be more accurate than those of 5 minutes.' Does anyone know which method of data collection I should use?? Would just a simple random sample be good enough? I know stratified sampling is recommended but it's more suited to my other hypothesis and I don't think it is necessary for this hypothesis. Please help x

I think a random sample is fine. I don't really see how a stratified sample is relevant since your hypothesis is only targeting one group of people, so there's nothing to stratify.
