how do you stop someone from liking you?
can anyone think of anything anyone did that made them stop liking them?
just one of my friends told me he liked me a while ago, and i wasnt interested. I was assured he was over it, but last night i had a gathering at my house, we all got really drunk and i could hear him in the kitchen, while i was outside, telling everyone how much he loves me.
are there any tips anyone can give me as to how to stop this, or at least make it a bit better!
can anyone think of anything anyone did that made them stop liking them?

I always find as soon as I know the guy I like likes me...I go off him!
Try that....or failing that...burp or fart in front of him or be a messy eater or something.

Because it takes the fun out of liking someone!I like analysing those little things that someone does that make me think 'Hmm...that makes me think he likes me...but did he realise he was doing it....oh my god....aggghhhh confuuuuused!'

Seriously though, the guy sounds besotted. It's impossible to make him turn off his feelings just like that, but maybe you can get him to tone it down. Explicitely say nothing will ever happen, no matter how many people he tells he loves you.

Well you can't truely like them then its more of a challenge thing with you.
Oh come on, just be honest and tell the bloke you don't feel the same way. Far far easier.
I still say tell him you're gay.

go out with him for a bit! you might find you like it after all, but otherwise, he soon find out its not what he wants. Breaking up with someone is a sure fire way to say your not interested!
This is bad advice. I actually tried this with someone one time and it really just made things worse. The best thing to do is just be honest with him and tell him that sometimes things just are not meant to work out.

Well,I dunno.I get all the butterflies in stomach,wobbly knees when you see them etc. but the second they show some interest I no longer care!Hmm.It's the same with every guy!I guess I like being kept on my toes.
I guess he knows already that it's not reciprocated? In which case he'll get over it on his own - either when he finds someone else or you do!

Maybe they don't live up to your fantasies or the thought that they are better than you turns you on (maybe not as simple as that), then when they show an interest you realise that you are just as good as them and that puts you off. I don't even know if that makes sense so I'l shut up.

Castrate him.
Why would you want to stop someone from liking you.I would go up to them and tell them ,if you didn't like them or vicer er versa.
I've been in a similar situation ie. been the guy in love with best friend who's a girl! I was 16.

I can tell you now, that now being 18 i've learnt that, no matter what this guy does, it'll take a long time for him to get over you. It'll happen, with time, but he needs support. He needs a big BIG sign that you're just not interested.
It's difficult. Sometimes, guys think that they can make girls like them. Hell, even girls think that they can make guys like them. It's just easier for girls lol. But the fact is, you can't create attraction. It just is. It's just something that you can't describe.
Attraction is natural and hopefully this guy will realise that when you're not attracted to him, the only thing he can do, is get over you. It took an entire summer of not seeing/speaking to my best friend in order to get over her. Worked though, and we're as close as ever, and no more feelings involved anymore!
I'm not saying that things could change. Hey, you might wake up in the morning and realise you are attracted to him, and in rare cases, sometimes a guy can make a girl like them, but only in rare cases.
