spotting on the pill

i have checked and checked and rechecked so if there is a thread which answers my question i'd be more than happy if someone posted it for me

(To people who spotted or bled constantly while taking the microgynon-30) How long after you started taking the pill did you notice spotting?

i've just started taking the pill and am really hoping to not spot/bleed but i've only taken one, just want some..reassurance perhaps.

I've only ever had spotting when I ran 2 packs together - it started about halfway through the 2nd pack and continued until the proper withdrawal bleed during the week break. I never have it normally.

ah ok thanx
Have had it really randomly today - forgot to take my pills over the weekend but took my Sunday pill this morning. Have since started to bleed, not heavily, but certainly not lightly!! If this continues til the end of the month I will cry! :frown:

I've been on the pill for 2 years and I spotted during the 2nd/3rd week on Microgynon for the first time last month. It was weird since I'd taken it at the same time every day. I put it down to the stress of my exams and being a bit ill. I've never had a problem with them before.

My friend bled for the whole first month on microgynon-because she started the pack on the first day of her period as some DRs recommend she basically just bled for the whole month ( 3 weeks on the pill, one week withdrawl bleed). I'm guessing you haevn't started on the first day of your period so this isn't really all that much use...

Me, i've been on Microgynon 30 for about 6 months and have never had spotting even when i ran my packs together.
If you run two packs together, what happens to the womb lining...does it simply stay there till your next period? Does that in turn mean that you'd also be bloated (if you suffer from it), up until the next period as well?

I don't really get bloating but i started to get minor cramps towards the end of my second pack and when i got my period it was definitely heavier and more painful...
