How should I prepare for A-levels?Watch this thread
I am intending to take for AS: Maths, Further maths, Physics and History (or French)
Just wondering what I should do/be doing in order to prepare for A-levels, particularly these ones!
Also, what are these A-levels like? Are they a lot of work or not too bad?
Thanks in advance!
Same for physics really, just recap the basics, if you wish to you can look at the examboard specification for the Physics GCE you'll be studying and see if any GCSE topics that you've learned are studied further, if so recap this at GCSE.
History is quite different, I'd say look at the specification/ask a teacher what you'll be studying and possibly read up on these briefly (don't get too involved, leave this for the lesson!)
French - consistent vocabulary revision. Build your vocab up over summer, practise and practise your tenses. Nail tenses and vocab and you should find AS a doddle as long as you put the required effort into it.
Most of all, don't stress about it. Many don't do any preparation and they get on just fine. Just try to enjoy your summer and worry about your forthcoming GCSE exams.
