*Note: I am not asking for any information about this year's EMPA and do not wish to obtain any, or for people to ruin the thread by asking for any!*

Are there any decent textbooks/revision resources for practical skills on the AQA spec?

I literally cannot find any useful resources whatsoever. There is:

http://www.antonine-education.co.uk/..._06/ISA_06.htm
The booklet on the AQA website defining precision, accuracy etc;
And a mildly useful bit in the back of the textbook on using instruments. (Most of the detail missing though, maybe it's in the AS book? I am doing both PHA3X and PHA6X so it might be worth checking)

I'm not too worried about it but it's an absolute pain in the ass when there's nothing to even do the work FROM. Some of the past papers have shed some light on the kind of techniques they want (i.e measuring diameter 3 times and taking a mean, etc), but I just cannot understand how we are supposed to know.

Is there any kind of textbook that specialises in the coursework?

I think you'll do fine if you know the glossary booklet really well. Most of the questions are ~3marks and one of those will be for pointlessly defining every word in the question. I.e. "Did you get any anomalies" "Our measurement at 0.5s was an anomaly because it lay outside the trend of the rest of our data, it was further away from the trend than can be accounted for by random error."
