Ooh Zane Lowe. Colin Murray and Pirates night seem decent too. Colin Murray at Pirates night might be better though! Better than I had expected it to be overall! Is it worth buying a pass though?

Not terrible, but I still maintain my freshers' week (back in, oh, 2004 I suppose) was better than all these modern ones.

Plus I despise Vic Galloway.

at least we don't have tim westwood who does my head it... and yes 2004 was so much better than last year which was rubbish cos you couldn't get drunk if you tried cos it was so packed... i reckon it's all about the first week when prices will be back to normal *wednesday nights here i come*

oh and alan bates (the hypnotist) was really funny when he was here in january and i've also just realsied there's no school daze! what is happening to the world?

I suspect... it will be so horrifically packed this year. Logic suggests it will be busier than last year  . Pity Dundee has such limited choices for post-midnight drinking.

And does Colin Murray just live in the Union? He's never out the place! I remember last time he was there the fire alarms went off... I vaguely remember scrambling through bushes and over walls in a desperate attempt to reach Istanbul before the crowds. good times.

Yes, I suggest we students all get together and protest in City Square about the crap licensing laws in Dundee and how none of the pubs open til a decent hour.

The bar I go to in Glasgow opens til bloody 3am every night, so it's quite annoying when I'm back up here.

hey, well i'm used to english licensing laws with 24 hour drinking so quite a few of the clubs open til 6am, and the others shut at 4am.

I look forward to seeing you running around... annoying me. :p:

Seriously though the freshers team are proper irrrrrritating, even when you are a fresher, I can imagine even moreso for the other students . Last year we scared away the ones who came to Villas, heh, they came barging into our kitchen jumping around and enthusiastic when we were all hungover! We just started at them blankly until they went away. I mean really, that much enthusiasm that early in the day, on the Sunday after moving into halls, is just not on.

yeh well, you won't see me being energetic early on... i'm in it for the free entry (after last year queuing up for tickets and it being so expensive and then everything being sold out) and we get free entry into the union til christmas (yay!).. although i didn't actually pay this year from about november...

Anyone who doesn't go see Roy Walker is mad. Think I'll be behind the bar that week anyway.
