I have an organic chemistry question i need to answer

need to know the iupac and organic familiy

H3C connected to NH2 I came up with Propanamine is that correct and said it was in the alkane group or amino group

the second one is H3C connected to CH3 with a double bond O coming off

Am I right in guessing this is alkene

would it be propanaene

Not sure about the first one with the amino group, but the second one is a ketone, so if it has two carbons it would be ethanone but with three carbons it would be propanone

H3C - unless I am missing something - has one carbon, not three. It is a methyl group.

so would the first in fact be methylamine

and the second methyl-di-propone

Hard to say what the second is intended to be, as your description is impossible - while there are two methyl groups, it is not clear what the oxygen is connected to.

Most likely there is a third carbon in between, isn't it?
