How to get to Rees Hall?

Hi all
This summer I'm going to be singing at Portsmouth Cathedral for a week, and I'm staying at Rees Hall, which I understand is a hall of residence at Portsmouth (I didn't organise any of this so I'm fairly clueless!) It occurred to me that current Pompey students might be the best people to ask! If I get the train to Portsmouth & Southsea then can anybody tell me how I get from there to Rees Hall? Is it close enough for me to walk or do I need to get a bus? Anybody know which bus? All help appreciated!

If you've got a load of luggage that you don't want to haul for 10-15 minutes, then there's a line of taxi's outside the train station that'll take you there for about £5.

If not, and you fancy a walk, then you just head south from P&S station towards the Guildhall which is the City Hall. Go across the square along Guildhall Walk where the pubs and bars are and contiue south towards the Student's Union. The road branches into a Y junction, and you need to take the left road. Carry on walking along that road and you'll reach Rees Hall (which is on Southsea Terrace).

I'm assuming that you're going to go and print off a map too..

If you are coming by car just follow the signs to the hovercraft and then just before you get to Southsea common having come through town Rees Hall is on your left just after a pedestrain crossing. No problems if you get to the Pier and hovercraft, turn your back on them and Rees hall is virtually the biggest building over the common on a street corner. Southsea is not that complicated and everyone will know where it is if you ask. If you see the Queens Hotel on the front you are very near it.You should be able to park right near it but BEWARE THE TRAFFIC WARDENS THEY ARE RUTHLESS.Do not go over your limit they will pounce.
