Its a 40 min walk from oak house to uni, even longer to sugden sports center/swiming pool. thats to long for me, i have better things to do then walk all day.

notErm, the aquatics centre is right by the uni. Are you on the UMIST campus then?
And considering that the buses are cheaper than chips, there's no need to walk unless you want to do it to keep fit.

The only person i know from city campus hates it there. Buses go from fallowfield towards the city centre literally every 2 minutes, really not much of an inconvenience.
