Sheffield Uni is better

Sheffield Hallam used to be a polytechnic but became a university in the 90s (?)

Sheffield University is better than Sheffield Hallam  Sheffield Hallam is considered "lower" than Sheffield purely because of where it stands in the league tables compared to Sheffield and also they may ask for lower grade requirements compared to Sheffield

It's the same situation with Birmingham University and Birmingham City. Birmingham University asks for ABB minimum for their entry requirements and spends way more on academic facilities than Birmingham City does, they also are quite far up in the league tables compared to Birmingham City. Whereas Birmingham City usually asks for BBC etc, but nevertheless still a good uni

Sheffield

Any university which has a name after the original name eg brooks after Oxford, met after Leeds are usually of lower quality..

Wait until Varsity comes round love! 'We go somewhere you don't go, Uni, Uni... etc' There's also been 'Stand up if you know your dad' sang at a varsity ice hockey match last year.

Your comment is somewhat out of touch with reality... Hallam is a bad university how?
I chose to go to Hallam, being a Sheffield local - rather than going to a redbrick away from home. I don't see what the problem is.

The ignorance on this site is on another level, believe me.

you have to consider bigger uni's don't do more specialized courses like the smaller ones do
