A level Maths during my gap year - Is it possible to sit the As and A2 in one year?

Hi guys,
I recently realized that I need to do A level Maths for my desired uni course (Economics at LSE). The grades required are A/A*. However, i'm currently studying Literature, French and Spanish at A2. I got an A* at GCSE, however i'm aware of the giant leap in difficulty. I'm thinking of doing a gap year, and just study straight for the As and A2 Maths exams. Is it possible to get a high grade in A level Maths in one year? Would like to hear your thoughts.

Yes it is possible. Whether you succeed will depend on your aptitude for maths, work ethic, time available, ability to self study and access to support.

Well I might enjoy science, but the Maths A Level is a requirement for my desired course. They prioritize Maths over Physics I think.
