I don't mind making the first move, it seems that quite a few girls expect this. But I'd love girls to make a first move too.... I suppose it works both ways (if men and women are equal as I definately agree, why should it be men who make the first move?)

Many girls would use the excuse of being quite scared and timid. But lets be fair, lots of guys are just as scared and nervous about making a move! I'm lucky in being quite a confident person anyway, but for two people who are quite shy it must be very difficult and daunting!

Just a passing thought really, I think girls should sometimes make the first move more, but it probably won't happen (just as many guys will still treat girls badly *sigh*.)

I don't expect it, and I don't mind either way.

yeah, though it's difficult as us guys are also scared of rejection so we wouldn't want to be too open about our feelings towards a woman. on the other hand, i think at crunch time, i'd expect to make a first move, and she'd expect that i think.

Who do I expect to make the first move... whoever is the less shy and more interested.

Well first move doesn't necessarily have to be a big deal either. Generally first movies consist of asking someone out for a coffee or meeting up. If they reject you then, well it's not a big deal cos i wouldn't take it personally if they did.

First move should be by the one who is least shy to do it. When it happens it happens, doesn't matter when. If the time is right then it will always be the least shy one.

ive been described as the modern metrosexual guy lol anyway i would prefer (not expect) the girl to make the first move, u said you were scared of making the first move; the same applies to us, and therefore i probably wouldnt make a move. if u do like this guy, ask him out.

o yea also what have his previous girlfriends been like, i ask because of the age gap and unless ur very stylish/pretty its not kool for a metrosexual guy to be with a younger gf - in my personal opinion
