Well, i have... although to write up all my experiances would take forever! It was utterly FANTASTIC though

Where abouts did you go?

Argentina - July 2005, was amazing ! Where'd you go?

Kenya/Uganda, very very nice place's! What sort of project work did you do?

Went to a local school and rennovated it. Yourself?

Similar, local school, but helped build them a new classroom. Although I say build... but in reality we just helped to move the bricks from 500m down the road... for 3-4 days straight!

Still, fantastic thing to do, and the kids were sooo cute!

Do you have any pics up on the net?
My school's running one to Namibia next year - although I didn't quite fancy it as it'll be my last summer before uni, and its about £3000 to go :frown:
I went to Mongolia, July 2005. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! For our project we helped out in a holiday camp for street kids.

Yea it is quite expensive to go but if you're saving up over a couple of years its not too bad. I would definitely recommend it!

Yeah, the money isnt that much of an issue, as part of the whole experiance, is to run fundraising events, etc. to make the money yourself! Its quite an attainable target over the 18months we had to prepare.

I went to South Africa in 2004, and worked in a school in a shanty town, built them a vegetable patch and orchard + did three huge painting to brighten up the place.

Very true. Also, the money you spend on world challenge isn't money you would have had anyway. It's money you've specifically raised, from fundraisers etc...

Well a lot of people do get jobs to help with fundraising so they would've had that money, but fundraisers are part of the experience and they help you bond as a team. If nothing else they show you who is willing to put in lots of effort and who are the lazier people in your team! :p:

Ah, but a lot of people get jobs to raise money especially for World Challenge though! So they wouldn't necessarily have had the jobs anyway!
And I spent most of the money from my Job on myself anyway, instead of saving it up :p:
You couldn't pay me to go on world challenge, let alone me pay them £3000.

They are overpriced I agree, but it's the price you pay to have an expedition where you know you're in safe hands.
