Looking at yourself/your body in the mirror, obsessively

Does anyone else look at their bodies in the mirror, obsessively i mean. I weighed 11.3 but i didnt 'look' fat im curvey but i always look in the mirror to make sure i could look physically attractive if you know what i mean. I know i look good in clothes because i wear what suits my body, so i worry about whether i look slimmer with clothes on then its a shock if a guy saw me without much on. I have lost about 5 pounds and think i look better i think slimmer around the hips and now im just curvey though i havnt got a flat stomach or anything..

anyway am i vain for doing this?

No?

Nope. Anything you do in private isn't really anyone else's concern.

pretty much every girl is body concious. dont wory about it! you seem to be prety happy about your body, and want to keep it in check-theres nothing wrong with that. i can assure you that lots of girls will spend hours in front of the mirror looking and judging their own body - i do it! your not in the minortity at all. so dont worry about it. about a guy thing-dont worry, guys arent stupid-they can guess what a girl looks like with no clothes on-i dont think we give them enough credit there! and if he realy like you, it wont bother him that much! plus, a lot of guys prefer a curvy girl to a thin girl! so youve got no probs

I look at myself in the mirror alot.. or a window, or anything lol. I'm not vain, and definately not up myself, but I just think its a way that im able to love who i am

I do it loads, as if my body will have changed drastically in a few hours  Just a bit too body conscious I think. I see being vain as loving yourself and being obsessed with how great you look. I would say I have more a paranoia than vanity.

yep another culprit here! but with me it is more unhealthy because at the moment looking at myself for too long makes me want to cry (curvier than i should be right now!) so it's not a good positive obsession!

Ditto, but what I always check is my face/make-up/hair

Pretty normal behaviour for any young person as far as I'm concerned. I spend too long in front of the mirror obsessing over how my face looks, but I consider it my right as a teenager to do so.

haha yes and on holiday i kept looking in the mirrors hating wearing a bikini and thinking damn the stupid pill, i was NO WAY this curvy before i came on holiday...and then i realised i probably was eating more as well! oh well, im home now and not a lot's changed, but i am more tanned. i have to admit that i do feel more attractive with a tan! it seems to hide the imperfections, if u get what i mean!
