I suppose that means you can't give us any info about him, or what he likes, cause that would really help here :p:

hmm, aftershave/fragrance? take him out to a nice restaurant? visit somewhere romantic with him?
As I've said to my girlfriend everytime she asks this question; a yacht would be nice.

A meal would be nice, but being paid for does make some blokes uneasy. A cool gadget always goes down well.

yeh do something with/for him rather than buying something for him. going to the theatre, or sumwher of the like, have a nice day planned on you!

yeah, OR, you she could cook for him at home. make it really romantic. what man can't resist a nice meal made by his gf. well, that'd be inexpensive and you wouldn't have the cost anxiousness there with him feeling uneasy.

Hmm, hardly romantic. He'll be jeering with his mates while she'll be miserable and sarcastic about the game. Not good. Something where it's just you two should always work.

It's a good idea, BUT I do that for him on a regular basis, so it wouldn't really be a unique experience.

I like the gadget/day out ideas though, they could be good

yeah. even just a day in brussels could be good. if you live in london that is because you could do something cool during the day then have a meal out there in the evening then come back. it's something different and relatively inexpensive- and he'll remember it too.

Thanks, but we're not in London, and I can imagine it being quite difficult trying to get him to go to Brussels, especially for a short trip.

Think I'll have a look at fun activities available locally, that would be a better option.

buy him a small firearm, or a decent lighter, or some porn.
For Xmas, I bought my boyfriend four bottles of his favourite beer, a bag of his favourite sweets, and two box sets of his favourite cartoon
Went down a treat
