The building is modern and all fixtures are good and newish.
Your flat will range from 4 - 8 people sharing the kitchen. The kitchens/lounge are large and very nice.

The area is ok and its not to far from uni.
It can be noisy from the night club and the secruity isnt brill i managed to get to my friends flat easily with out any keys etc.

The accomo is generally good and i would put in the top 4 that you can get.
The bedrooms are average and not to small.

Any other questions just ask happy to help.

I disagree... it's only in the top 4 if you want to be near the university. If you are comparing with the other halls...there are only 4, and leadmill would def be at the bottom.

And yes the rooms are not small, but neither are the ones in the other accomodation I have seen and lived in.

Take my place for example. I'm in a place near leadmill called norfolk gardens, the rooms are the same size as leadmill (with a bathroom for every 2 people), there are over 30 people so you you still get the community feel, but you only share with 4/5 to a kitchen...the same as leadmill, and finally the security is excelent as we have both key locks, code locks and cctv. All for only £2,900.......almost Half the price of the leadmill, and it's still through the university. We even get a dishwasher, free washing machines & tumble dryers, a garden and a picnic bench.

All I can say is if you are in leadmill make the most of it and be prepared for the worst then it won't be so bad. just as others who have lived there too.(Loads of threads on here from em).

There are loads more than 4 halls, they have just built 3 new ones, its def in the top 4 archways being the best i think.
The worst i believe is Norfolk park, everyone I have talked to says its rubbish.
Leadmill aint very expensive never 5800 think its starts about 3000 and goes up thats with en suite. Never go any where without en suite, wouldnt live without it

Dont worry about staying there its not that bad all accomos have hang ups, its easy to move if you hate it tho they will charge for this.
isnt norfolk gardens getting closed or knocked down or something because its that dodgy?

no. it's set in a quiet subhurb street. it's lovelly. and our land lady certainly has no intention of knocking it down it's all brand new. and only just been renovated in the last two years.

you may be thinking of norfolk park... which part of it is due to be "renovated" but norfolk gardens is one ofm the partnership properties.
The best thing about Leadmill Point is the location, from an outsiders point of view. You are right by the train station, the union, city campus, and Leadmill. The shops, cinema, clubs and bars are all within walking distance. If i wasn't in a house this year I would have applied for Leadmill

I lived in leadmill last year and had a really rough ride but that was mainly beacuse i was put in a flat with two 2nd years who thought it was there duty to make life hell for me and my two other falt mates. I also found unite staff to be useless. But i think if you get the right set of people you'll be ok, just be aware that unite are useless and, in my opinion theiving B*******

Nope never lived there had friend tho that did. It depends if you get en suite, my friend didnt they had 5 to one shower and two loos. She had a sink in her room, and a large cuboard. The room was larger than mine at exchang but that was because she had no en suite. You also get a desk and a two shelfs. Plus a large mirror thats about it.
