GERMAN SPEAKERS; quick question

I am writing about an experience of a holiday and how I used to think flying was dangerous:

is it: Früher dachte ich, es wäre gefährlich, allein zu reisen, jedoch, jetzt, weiß ich, es ist sicher.

Or: Früher dachte ich, es gefährlich wäre, allein zu reisen, jedoch, weiß ich jetzt, ist es sicher.

"Dass" sends the conjugated verb (wäre, ist) to the end. If there's no "dass", it's just normal word order.

eg.

Früher dachte ich, es wäre gefährlich.
Früher dachte ich, dass es gefährlich wäre

similarly

Jetzt weiß ich, es ist sicher.
Jetzt weiß ich, dass es sicher ist.

Also just as a side note, your punctuation is a bit off. Looks like you really dig commas, huh?
