what is it about being men that makes men this way? there must be something fundamentally wrong with them, surely?

But you could still argue that a lot of women are also murderers, yet they rarely get as much media attention as men, this could be because of the chivalry thesis? Or because some people would say women are biologically child-centered? Idk, it depends tbh

Haven't you read the news?!
Women aren't allowed to be called Paedophiles, whenever I read the news and a female has had sex with a minor, they aren't called paedophiles but simply are called "woman sleeps with a minor" and men get labelled as paedophiles.

Murderers and child abusers, yeah, happens but paedophiles and rapists don't happen in the UK wherever women are involved, ever.
At least according to the media.

Because from an early age women/girls are taught to care for people and men are taught to be aggressive.

There's probably also a biological testosterone factor too.

Also, I'm sure I've heard that most child abusers are women, but I could be wrong.

It is impossible for a woman to be a rapist in UK.
As for the other two, I suspect stereotype.

I've heard most stories of abuse and murder through history are perpetrated by women, yet people assume men are the 'evil' ones.

If that is accurate, then probably due to higher testosterone levels etc.

That's a straight up lie, I'm certain that women seldom child abuse compared to men. I've heard it on an episode of Law and Order: SVU.

Also men are taught to be aggressive is BS excuse.

It's not an excuse, it's an explanation.

I meant child abuse in the sense of rape, assault. Not neglect and hitting.

Sexual abuse is mostly men, yes. But that's not the only form of abuse.

I've heard that women are more likely to commit infanticide but I don't know how true that is.

I think it's a mixture of socialisation (men are portrayed as more violent/the bad guys in media), and testosterone/ego.

it seems obvious that something needs to be done about this - can we really justify letting men walk the streets at night or hold positions of power and authority?

physical strength seeme to play a big part in this so perhaps we need to take measures to even things out. we could arm all women? if you're a big lass who can take care of yourself then maybe some pepper spray; a bit smaller then non-lethal bullets; smaller still a handgun; under 5'2"/8stone then whatever the hell your ass can carry - magnum; ak47 - whatthehellever.

i'm not stupid, i realise many innocent men will probably die as a result of this, but until the number of men dying at the hands of women reaches the level of women that die at the hands of men then what's the problem?

Legally, you can't really be a rapist if you're a woman.
In the media, you can't be a paedophile if you're a woman.
Murder? Don't know. Testosterone perhaps.

If it's a teenager/15 year old they don't tend to use the word paedophile for men either. It's when men are praying on 9 year olds they use that word. It's not very often a woman prays on a 9 year old boy yet it seems a lot more common with men. That's what the op is getting at.
