Is this appropriate for H&R...? I don't have any advice either way, never tried it. Maybe just don't do it that way
are you doing it with your back arched heavily i.e when hes pulling your hair, that could be putting pressure on your muscles plus with the pressure inside you could be whats causing it. Try to keep your back straighter and do it on something harder (no pun intended) than a soft bed like the floor or a table if your adventourous.

At times when my boyfriend and I are having sex doggy style I feel a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Is this normal? It's starting to get really frustrating because it is a position I really enjoy but the pain can be uncomfortable at times. It's only in doggy style that this comes up, every other position is fine.

Yeah i dont think is appropriate for H&R, but my suggestion is that it could be trapped air when doing it that way. So basically, wind
and threads like "i cant orgasm" are appropriate? She/he is not bragging or anything she/he's asking a question related to a problem

I don't know, but I'm sure I've seen lots of closed threads that were asking for sex tips :p:

Exactly.Thank you. I just wanted to know if other girls get this, and if it's normal? Or if it's something I should be worried about.

Don't worry about it. Just try to be less hard, if pain persists in a normal situation, then go see your GP.

Might be hitting the cervix - It will be more/less tender at different times in your cycle.

is it some kind of stitch from using muscles your not used to using? or is it a direct result of his penis? tell him to go a bit easier maybe?

but she not really asking for tips, she asking for help with something causing her pain.

And Anon amywalters has the right idea if it keeps being a probelm or worse hurts after sex (and i mean after the glow/numbness has worn off) then see a GP

Apparently (and I'm not saying this is the case here, but it could be) a woman's ovaries are as sensitive as a man's testicles, but obviously being internal they don't get hit so very often. It has been recorded previously that some women when they have sex do experience pain here if the penis forces some indirect contact with them.

If it's only pain when in one position, I doubt there's anything seriously wrong. Try moving position slightly and see if that helps, or going gentler. More than that, I can't suggest really.

close thread, thats enough advice.
And as him to go a bit slower, otherwise next week you'll have to start a thread called 'why does it hurt when i pee?'
i get this all the time!!its majorly off putting:frown: i dont know if its something to go to the docs for!!
Sex from behind allows for deeper penetration than a lot of other positions, so it's quite likely that, as someone else said, he's reaching your cervix. Which can feel nice :p: But it's also very sensitive so maybe try going slower and not quite so hard

Good luck anyway

I get the same sort of pain, not sure what it is.
All you people saying close the thread need to stop sucking up to the mods.

Are YOU appropriate for H&R?

Last time I checked sex affected health AND was a vital part of a relationship. And lots of students have sex.

Anyway, doggystyle is a position that goes deeper. My ex used to be in a lot of pain and didn't want to do doggystyle. Once though I found a way to do it without any pain and she enjoyed it.

Your boyfriend has to put one leg away to the side and almost next to your head or going up in that direction. Then enter.

Tell your boyfriend to go a bit slower too that might help. Or maybe you could just hold onto something and move yourself up and down.
Please note to all we are watching this thread and so far have found it formative.
H&R is a place where we hope people can ask for advice and be given it sensitvely.
