dermographism aka skin writing

does any1 else suffer from this condition, my skin basically goes red whenever its rubbed or pressure applied, its very embarrassin as ppl are constantly asking what it is, and does stop me from swimming, showing skin etc etc its not infectious just embarrassing.

was just wondering if anyone else has this??

if i use a pen and write something on my skin, i.e. my name, my skin will then show my name. i.e. http://www.allergycapital.com.au/Images/dermographism.jpeg

happens to me when i bang into something. ie: i usually don't get a hives like result unless the pressure placed upon my skin is quite hard.

then i take my allergie medication....(nose spray) and it stops itching, and then goes away.

my boyfriends skin is so freakin sensitive. if i just poke my finger to his skin, that small bit goes red and sort of raises up.. only for a minute or two. but sooooo sensitive

I think my mum has that. In a way, it's pretty cool...being able to write stuff then in a few minutes it 'pops up'.

I've heard it can be caused by stress :confused:
