Age

I know we have had hundreds of posts on this and i know loads of people say age is not an issue and thats what i believe, but i just found out that my 31 year old friend is going with a 16 year old, he had already mentioned that she was younger than me so i was sort of prepared for her being young but that was a little younger that i'd expected. I don't think this is a problem but from his hesitancy about telling me her exact age obviously other people did. Does anybody think this age gap is too much or a bit weird or does everyone here think like me that it is fine nad as long as they like each and get on well they are fine? Why do some people have problem with age gaps and what makes them feel this way?

Bear in mind it is 15 year difference and some people were worried about the 5 year gap between me and my boyfriend!

He's 31 and friends with you, who is obviously younger, do you see that as a problem?

That said, 16 is only *just* over the legal age, he should be careful, especially as they're on totally different stages of maturity.

Nobody see's my friendship with him as a problem, but thats cos we are just friends which is different to a sexual relationship the like of which he has with the 16 year old.

I can understand you being worried about your friend but nothing you do can change anything. Obviously they don't have a problem with their relationship, but I can imagine other people being bothered, such as her parents.
