Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm an EU student and I would like to enquire about the evidence of income. I have found out that the university I have applied to has bursaries available for EU students. I need to provide evidence of income to be eligible.

http://www.sfengland.slc.co.uk/media...actsheet_d.pdf

Here it says the evidence has to be for the tax year ending 31 dec 2011, however I have a written confirmation of my parents' income from their employer for last year (2013).
Is it sufficient? Although on the website it is stated that the evidence must be for 2011 I assume the newer the evidence is the better.

Thank you,
Yours faithfully,

Hi there

We always ask for income from one tax year previous due to the date our applications open. Could you please confirm which academic year that you are in?

Thanks

I am starting my first year at university in September.

I believe the forms I have to fill out can be found on this link:

https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-f...15/new-student

The evidence factsheet located on the link above says:
"Your evidence needs to be for the tax year ending 31 Dec 2011 (or 5 April 2012 if your income is earned/received in the UK)."

Hi there,

As you are an EU student applying for a Bursary, we recommend your parents supply evidence of their income for the tax year ending 31 Dec 2011 (5 April 2012) as stated on our factsheet.

They will not be required to provide evidence of their income for the tax year ending 31 Dec 2013 at this time.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks
