Liverpool, as a rule, don't have 'friends' - I've always found the club, and the city itself, to be quite isolationist.
indeed
(Original post by Raindance)
But you're right, I think we do have more of an attachment to Arsenal than others in the Top 3; because the other two are Manchester United and Chelsea. Plus their football style is far more attractive. Don't mind the odd anti-Scum sing-song with City either!
i wouldnt say we have an attachment with Arsenal, just a detachment with the other 2. and singsongalongin with city against united is indeed fun.

You know what I'm getting at, I think! It's not as much an attachment as a common hatred of Utd. But yes...

If you hate Man Utd clap your hands (clap clap)

Tehehehehe, but yeh. This will never happen. We just don't have the money for that sort of bidding war.

Only that much? Liverpool should sell Garcia and buy Joauquin IMO.

About £25million
I think there should be a cap on how much clubs can ask for players. It is getting really out of hand now.

Talking of £25 million players, I am very impressed with Essien.

Looks very good already - keeps playing like he is, and sticks in a few goals, that £25 million tag could be justified to a point.

I think him and Makelele once again, will be the unsung heroes for Chelsea this season.

Essien?

The thing is, Betis wouldn't necessarily ask for that at first - but when the big hitters like Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea get involved, the prices rocket.

I think the only brilliant player that Arsenal have aquired this season is Hleb. He played extremely well against Boro, and has a good range of passing. I think Arsenal will miss Viera's physical presence but not his ability to pass the ball around.

Thats why I think there should be capping, that way all clubs can bid on an even par with each other. This would also stop Footballers getting too big for thier boots.

What's the point? If Chelsea and Fulham bid the same amount for a player of Joaquin's class, Chelsea will always be the #1 choice. Joaquin will have a host of clubs after his signature, we probably won't be able to afford him but that's a fact of life and the way things have always been, some clubs have the money others don't.

He'd be an amazing signing for us, we really do miss havign a true winger. Imagine if Kewell got his act together...

Sexi, epitomised = midfield of Kewell Alonso Gerrard Joaquin

They're actually nearing 49...
It's gay they're actually gunna win like all their games this season.
The FA/UEFA/FIFA have had such a mare, should really have put their foot down in limiting chelsea somehow. =\#

It's also disgusting the lack of respect Chelsea fans have for anything.
