Another lucky Chelsea win. Sunderland should have had a penalty at the end for Carvalho holding.

Carvalho's such a dirty player! But to be fair to Chelsea, after an average first half they did dominate for most of the second half. It was backs to the wall stuff for Sunderland. Also, hahaha silly Robben!

There is no fair about it. Sunderland should have had a penalty. I only saw the highlights so cant comment on other decisions but Chelsea get more decisions for them than any other team.

I support Liverpool so this i know, and if it was a foul then Sunderland were obviously hard done by, but from what i've seen and read, Chelsea performed better over the course of the match. i would've loved it if Le Tallec scored just before half time!
Mick McCarthy has to be one of the best humoured managers in the Prem. Don't like him much, but credit to him for that.

You know what I didn't quite understand? Why Eriksson was watching the Arsenal game. Hardly a showcase for players for 2006? Boro had a team full of minors, Arsenal didn't start one english player? Maybe it was for leisure, not business.

Excellent bit of business for Everton regarding Marcus Bent. Selling him for 5x the price we bought him; that doesn't happen often!

Still; I can't think of many players whose value goes up 5x in just over a year.

A couple of laughable decisions... Garcia for one, I don't rate the Barca defense highly either. Still, voted for by fans on UEFA, so can't expect too much.

EDIT: been said as i was typing it up

speaking of Eto'o, there is a race row between his spitting incident with Athletic Bilbao's Unai Exposito, as the Bilbao coach Javier Clemente said that:

"Deco should be more of a gentleman. Grabbing someone's shirt is worse than tugging someone's hair, spitting is ugly behaviour as well,"

"I thought it was what people who had just come down out of the trees did."

Maurinho manager of the year? You must be having a laugh? With the resources available he has underperformed. The premiership is all he has got to show which wasnt exactly unexpected.
