Can't see Mourinho doing an Alex Ferguson though.
Can't really see any other managers doing that TBH.

Neville Charged By FA

haha
the fa are stupid :hmpf:

but on a brighter note we won  the last minutes were tense but im glad we're through to the finals.

can someone clear something up for me please- the UEFA cup kept on cropping up today when i was chatting to some mates, but none of us actually knew how its connected to the carling cup!! so if we win the carling cup, do we go into the uefa cup?

Yeah, but you'll easily qualify through the league anyway.
Now i have a question, if Wigan finish too low in the league but ManU finish high enough to qualify for Europe, do Wigan get the UEFA Cup spot for being in the final? I'm thinking back to Millwall losing the FA Cup final but getting into Europe because ManU had qualified for the CL.

carling cup winners only get a european spot, if they're already in europe then it will be given as a premiership place i think

Finished 4-2. Zaragoza = style. Just goes to show that perhaps Barcelona weren't as invincible as people thought they were.

£140m - huge loss

then again as it states, £25.5m stopping the Umbro contract, Mutu and Veron costing £23m and the academy (£5m). Plus this figure has not included the new Samsumg deal (£10m per year) + Adidas.
Positives:
the reduction of the wage deal by £6.6m
transfer fees dropped by £74m (though could do without the massive £20m+ signings)
hopefully the academy will produce decent talent (Anthony Grant, Elmer, Michael Mancienne).
increase in football revenues (about £5m) - probably cancelled out from the performance of Chelsea village as their travel service was sold
drop in operating losses

could see Kenyon and the club making the finance plans however i see more spending to come if Chelsea redevelop a part of Stamford Bridge to increase seating capacity and the academy would need to produce one or two players instead of signing those high priced players

Hammer, nail, coffin. Really isn't doing himself any favours. Still, it's probably not too smart to speculate on it quite yet.
