You would have been better off spending your money on a goalscorer rather than Crouch. Though his link up play is decent, he is still not worth the money and as has ben said, there are better link up men around who could have been bought a lot cheaper than Crouch.
One of my friends heard a rumour that van Nistelrooy might be moving to Liverpool at the end of the season - any substance to this rumour? From Liverpool's perspective however, it would seem to be a good scenario because it doesnt look like he's going to stay at United anyway, Liverpool need a proven goalscorer, United make some cash, and can also bring Rossi into the team. Brilliant stuff lol.

Not going to happen. More chance of traore scoring a overhead kick.

Benitez wanted one though, in the shape of Owen and before Crouch was signed, Kuyt from Feyenoord. You're probably right but in general I'm happy with Crouch this season so far but is probably 5 goals short of where he should be. Considering Rafa is generally using the same blueprint as Valencia and had the same problem, I'm not *that* concerned we won't rectify the problem in the summer.

yeh i think Benitez rectified the problem at Valencia by buying Mista to replace Carew (he was ****!!). Gernally Benitez likes the 451 formation with a lot of width.

Stat!

1) Beattie has scored more Premiership goals for Everton than all of the Liverpool forwards put together.

2) On Saturday alone, twice as many as they've scored since Christmas.

Crouch for England.

I think Rafa should start Fowler with Cisse against Fulham, with Crouch on the bench (and Morientes on the plane home to Spain preferably!); to give him a full 90 minutes. Cisse offers the pace to cut through the defence, and Fowler has the goal poaching ability. I think that's the best way to give Fowler good opportunities to score. IMO anyways.
Agreed! I've been sayin this for the last few matches.

I'd get rid of Morientes now, just throw him off the team coach somewhere on the M1 and let him sort himself out lol. Warnock, Zenden and Traore have also gotta go in the summer, but I disagree with axing Crouch, Cisse, Kewell and Fowler. I mean Fowler's only going to last another season, so they'll just keep him on anyway (as back up if anything); but Cisse is an odd one, because he's arguably Liverpool's best striker, but Rafa doesn't like him one bit, so you're right he'll probably end up going. And they won't ditch Crouch, purely because the clubs shareholders would be livid if their 7 million investment is offloaded on the cheap at the end of an unprofitable season (which it will be according to the Liverpool accounts).
Warnock is great.. Zenden is injured but was playing great before that

Moro needs to put his act together, and Traore needs to go.

Delightful pass into the net by Fulham's number 9, Michael Brown, then.

Pity it was into his own net.

2-1 RS.

Y'know, this OG person might just be our top scorer?

Good old Browny. Scoring for his boyhood club against his current club.

I was wondering why on earth Brown is their number 9?
He ain't a striker? Most teams reserve the number 9 for their top striker!

Anyhow, I reckn you'll get 1 or 2 more in the 2nd half.
