Deco on his way to Barca?!?

Deco is either the most over-rated player or the biggest under performer

His performances throughout Euro 2004 have been dreadful

He isn't getting much space when playing for Portugal, all the teams have been playing super tight, at Porto he would work most effectively when the games became stretched. Also he was one of the most influential, gifted figures on the pitch with Porto, everyone would look for him, but he has become rather drawfed when playing for Portugal.
He probably would be excellent in the Spansih league though, with all the extra time on the ball. But Would probably end up like the next Veron, if he came to England.

his technical ability is superb, abit under performed in the euro 2004, but still he plays a main part and is still i think the main playmaker, linking midfield to the strikers

Deco is properly overrated.

And reading the Zidane article, who the hell does Henry think he is? Zidane is up there with Maradona and Pele, Henry can't touch him.

You wouldn't put it past him with his ego though.

nah, Henry doesnt seem to have an ego

o.k he is confident

but in interviews he is always quick to praise the opposition, or point out the contribution of his team mates for a goal

Larsson is a good player, maybe not a great player but however crap the defenders in scotland are you've stil got to have some talent to score 40 goals a season...e'll do alrght at Barca I reckon, make a nice little play mate for Saviolah

Larsson should have gone to a smaller club with big ambitions and finished his career on a high.

it seems to me that the top scorers in the competition all play in the Premiership (or in UK at least)

baros, rooney, van nistelrooy, henry, larsson and lampard. does that say something about the quality of strikers in the premiership?

Well, Baros hasn't played in the Premiership much

But as the Prem is very attack orientated it shows that the best strikers do play here.

Clearly not, but the rest are and Lampy likes to play as a goal-scoring midfielder.

Wonder if the new Liverpool geezer will stop him sitting on the bench after his performance in EC so far.

Although they always warn of guaging too much of a player after an international competition...Ferdinand for example
