Right, lets start again with some Spurs news!

Davids doesn't look like he's joining.

Helveg is considering moving to Spurs; there's interest in a French midfielder Peter Luccin and Adrian Mutu is linked with a cut-price move!

Chelsea wait as Marseille ponder £22M Drogba bid

Chelsea have tabled a £22 million bid to Olympique Marseille for striker Didier Drogba.
The Independent says Chelsea's offer will be discussed at a Marseille crisis meeting today. Chelsea's owner, Roman Abramovich, stepped up his offer for the striker in the past few weeks and now hopes to be given the go-ahead to buy him.

Marseille had turned down all offers, but the club's president is now buckling under the temptation of Chelsea's cash and is likely to accept.

Mutu, Crespo and Hasselbaink are all leaving.

And that leaves you with just Gudjohnsen - you need strikers!

We have plenty of strikers - though there are rumours that Kanoute will leave, and also we're unsure of whether Rebrov will be staying.

Buying Mutu in a cut-price move would be very good business!

Well Crespo and Mutu could both be on their way out, and Hasselbaink's gone.

The former Porto coach did meet with unsettled Romania forward Adrian Mutu, who also struggled after signing for £15.8million from Parma last term.

And Mourinho confirmed that Mutu's presence should ensure he will stay at the club, while Crespo's absence could ensure his exit.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

They were apparently disappointed about the number of goals he scored last season.

Looking at the stats, Crespo was your most prolific striker, followed by Gudjohnsen!

I doubt this for many a reason. One is that Inter publicly stated that they would not go for Davids after they signed Veron. This line of thinking seems to have worn off, but they still have Veron, Zanetti, Cambaisso, Recoba and Emre competing for two spots. In addition, Inter have always bemoaned their inability to replace Recoba as their playmaker after he went off the boil. Ball winning midfielders has never been a problem with regards to both first team players (Zanetti, and now Cambiasso) and squad players. Also Davids has spent half of his career in Italy and, with this probably being his last club, has good reason not to want to go to Inter. And Spurs never denied Arnesen saying we'd agreed a deal with Davids, which you'd expect them to if it were not true. And Inter are also allegedly set to sign Emerson, another ball winner. And... that's about it. Should be enough to keep you ticking over though .

Both of those stories are reporting one article. On Sunday night he'd allegedly agreed a deal with Chelsea. A few weeks ago he'd agreed a deal with Barca. Little to nothing in them.

There's Liverpool too in the race, but Inter are still considered to be favourites, despite all the players they have in that position.

Davids would be a great signing, amongst other signings, but I'm not sure whether we will get him or not.
