Just seen an Ian Holloway (manager of QPR) interview:

Interviewer: So we've just heard about Wayne Rooney's move to Man United. It only seems a little while since he was an apprentice. How does that compare with your introduction into football all those years ago??

Holloway: Well, I certainly couldn't afford to go and see prostitutes when I was an apprentice.

Interviewer: I meant in terms of football.

Holloway: (not paying attention) I mean not that I would anyway. I don't think. Mind......

I love it when managers are like that, reminds me of Gordon Strachan, he was a legend, I remember when we beat them last year:

Interviewer - "Well Gordon, in what areas were Boro better than you?
Strachan - "What Areas?...That big green one out there"

Another GS classic:

Interviewer: Welcome to Southampton, Gordon.

GS: Thank you.

Interviewer: Firstly, do you think you're the man to turn thing around here?

GS: No.

Reporter: "Bang, there goes your unbeaten run. Can you take it?"

Strachan: "No, I'm just going to crumble like a wreck. I'll go home,
become an alcoholic and maybe jump off a bridge....

*silence*

.....Umm, I think I can take it, yeah."

http://www.geocities.com/onearmedban.../strachan.html

My favourite one has to be..

Reporter: "Gordon, can we have a quick word?"
Strachan: "Velocity" (walks off)

The best ones are

Reporter: There's no negative vibes or negative feelings here?
Strachan: Apart from yourself, we're all quite positive round here. I'm going to whack you over the head with a big stick, down negative man, down!

Reporter: Where will Marion Pahars fit into the team line-up?
Strachan: Not telling you! It's a secret.

Spurs have signed Spase Dilveski, a right-sided winger from PSV - and becomes the 15th signing Spurs have made since May, when the transfer window re-opened.

So, now we have cover for Davies, and in every position on the pitch!

Shrewsbury 2-0 Cheltenham.

That just made my day. Why? It puts Lincoln in the relegation zone!
Oi! We'll get out of it soon enough

Because if I think differently of a team perhaps people can think I support them on that basis? What is a pyscho?

I know what a dictionary is. You not notice something wrong with the word in question? It's spelt incorrectly, nevermind.

Back to football - who should start for England alongisde Owen for the Austria game - Defoe or Smith?

Personally, I'd go for Defoe.

I would also go for Defoe.

But it's going to be Smith.
