Not too bad I suppose, but I was literally this *puts index finger insanely close to thumb* close to putting it on Arsenal instead, which would have got me £25 back instead of £11.25
£5 accumalator on villa and arsenal draw would have been around £50

Can't be arsed watching it tonight. The only thing of note seems to be Iron Andy's right hook and that will no doubt be repeated a plenty tomorrow.

We drew 2-2 at home to Shrewsbury. They were a vast improvement on the team we beat 6-0 two years ago, but still a team we should have seen off if we are to make a play-off push. The Shrews came here for a point, and we couldn't break them down.

The first half was quite entertaining. Our defence gifted them two goals. The first was a deflected Richard Logan drive (yes, he would have to score on his return to York Street), but Jason Lee rose above their defence to head home an equaliser soon after. But then another defensive mix-up allowed Ben Smith to tap in.

And we showed character to draw level again, when debutant Andy Kirk swept home a cross from the right. He could be a real gem if he stays fit.

However, the second half was a non-event. We saw more of the ball, and seemed the better side so far as that you could tell that we were at home and were trying to force the game, but nothing more. Our midfield struggled in the second half, and Luke Rodgers was a nuisance throughout.

We're 9th now, 5 points off the top and 6 off the bottom. We really need 4 points from our next two league games to break into the top 7, but with those being against Orient and Scunthorpe, it will be far from easy.

Whats up?

Well I really hoped we'd get more out of the game at blackburn today. We had a good few chances (they didn't show Faye's miss on match of the day) and a definite penalty.... oh well.

I went to that game last season (with the same teams) when I was in Barcelona in Febuary, cos Espanyol's stadium is in Barcelona. Real Madrid won though

Come on Everton today!!
My arse.

P.S, mc_w - just seen your 'message' about my Norwich prediction - thanks

And the most bias (and libellous?) match preview of the day goes to......the Daily Mail:

"The nationwide manhunt for Mark Viduka continues. Police have established that the old lady escorting, baby kissing striker currently scoring at will is an imposter, and have warned the public, particularly those carrying food, not to approach the fair dinkum Aussie".

"Everton have gone the opposite route to Boro by getting rid of 12st of fat, but they also look in better shape".

Mark fat-boy Viduka and Jimmy Hasselbaink will be no problem for Joseph Yobo at the back today.. Joey doesn't even need a partner at centre back he's that good!

Yobo was saying the other day that arsenal, man yoo and chelsea were all after him but would onyl sign him on the condition that he stopped playing for Nigeria. He refused so thats why he still stuck at Everton.

That was lies in the newspapers etc. He's said he's totally happy and Everton and is sitting down at the end of the season to talk about a new contract Best centre back in the Premier League.

I'm not gonna give a score prediction. Two teams who are in form against in each.. Could swing either way, worst of luck!!
