of course

why would it not be
Although Chelsea would be closer to Arsenal on points if Arsenal lost, it might help Man Utd back into the EPL, possibly recontending 2nd place etc. For the short term prospect it's best for Chelsea that Arsenal lost but I guess no one wil lreally know for sure for the long term.

oh right. But id have thought Chelsea would rather try and go for championship even, rather than consoliadting second place.

btw what's EPL??

They are. All I was saying that what if that United victory at Arsenal turned out to be the decider in 1st or 2nd place in the league? Then Chelsea would rather have Arsenal won, but I doubt that scenario would happen.

English Premier League.

Something else of note from the match as well - Lua Lua has been reported to the FA for abusing our fans. The ball is clearly over the touchline (literally over a metre) and he drives it full force into the crowd less than 5 yards away from him and hits someone in the face. The crowd rightfully gets annoyed and he grabs his balls and sticks a finger up at them.

STOP PRESS

Arsenal may have finally lost a game but watch Match of the Day 2 tonight and you'll see something far more spectacular: the best goal ever. Scored by: Stewart Downing. He was amazing today. One of the best overall performances I've ever seen at the Riverside. I said about 6 months ago he should be getting international recognition and just look at all his performances since. Sven - you know it makes sense.
