Wtf is Alex Ferguson on about. When a player from another team make a meal of a challenge, he gets annoyed, says the player shouldn't have done that, should be punished
(yh right) etc. But when his players do that, there's no word of that. So if he can't handle stuff when it's done to his team, his team shouldn't do it out themselves. Total 2 faced there. He really shouldn't be complaining. Plus, in the game if Rooney had been caught, he would have been sent off. No matter what, you can't raise your hands in the game. The kid has got to learn some discipline, at least for England's sake.

lol I was just about to comment on this after reading it on Telegraph. Rooney clearly pushed his hand against the player's face. And Fergie basically said, it's not Rooney who's wrong, but the other player for over-reacting (which he did, but Rooney's hand shouldn't be on that guy's face in the first place!)

Rooney is longer odds (6/1) to be sent off for England than he is to score a hat trick for them (7/2). I reckon the former is more likely.

Another thrashing by Leeds, 2-1 against the impressive plymouth, and were on the roll.

We were solid if unspectacular today. Two goals well taken (especially the second) and it was nice to see Downing getting back in the groove after a couple of quiet games. Some amazing left footed deliveries today - good one for the first goal n all.
And - £31 for me off the scorecast, which was nice.
There's only one Job on Teesside!

Awful challenge by Niemi on Riise!
...Should have been off for that!
Makes no difference to the final result though, as Liverpool claim all 3 points.

His aggression is key to his game and shows his passion for the sport.
If you try to calm him down, he will lose his fervour.
I'm not saying he wouldn't benefit by learning some discipline, but Fergie has to be careful with him. He can not publicly criticise Rooney as this would cause a negative impact on his game... I'm sure Ferguson is dealing with the matter privately.

Seemed to me like the keeper knocked the ball away with his body before he touched Riise.

...I'll take another look at it.
