Hi yea its strange but noone care about these rankings anyways, everyone has their own views, so this table is very biased and unecessary
it was voted for by the people and usually public polls like this are usually bias and politically orientated, its just a shock that this **** is actually on the OFFICIAL Uefa web site so they must back it in some way. Iwonder who the top 3 are going to be though...no that will be interesting!

yeah pele/maradona

Haven't seen Henry or Zidane yet.
and zidane probably

again this is debateable, although like you i haven't seen much of maradona playing in my life i have alway heard he was good, although my dad has always said "he weren't no pele". I have done bits of research into pele and watched a few old black white clips of him and he was extraordinary for his age...he played of a different age...personally his my number 1!

yeah Henry shouldn't be in the 50th greatest players...but if Guilt, Beckham and RvN can make it in (RvN especially...i mean what is that about?!?) ....then hell he should be included as well!

For me if you removed all the players who are either still playing or have only just given up (say within 5 years) then the table wouldnt be too bad considering some of the others i have seen where owen is placed 10th. Most of the older players i think are in the right order, but i feel its too soon to judge players who are still playing. How can u assses their impact when their career isnt over. For example its suggests that Beckham is going to be one of the 10 best players in the world by the end of his career which is clearly bollacks. And as for RVN, don't even get me started. The media director at old Trafford obviously had a bit to much of a say in this. Also i dont think Kevin Keagan should be so high.

Cruyff's the other, I think he was third and Beckenbauer second, but this was only according to The Premiership last night. UEFA's site still says the places haven't been decided, so I'm not sure if the update is just slow or ITV were just predicting what they thought would be the order.

What about Pele's list:

http://www.rediff.com/sports/2004/mar/05fifa.htm

Diouf, Okocha, Milla and Valderamma are in it, as well as two American women players, but no Stanley Matthews or Tom Finney

Why do people always give Pele's thoughts lots of weight, just because he was a snazzy footballer doesn't mean he's a good judge of others? Before every world cup he always predicts someone crap is going to win and is always wrong. He's pretty tactful with his viagra ads though
As the choice of the female American players shows, his choices were very political.

His list is, for the most part, *******s, for some part, crap, and for the rest, a pile of piss.
