Or that Arsenal and Manchester Utd are more commericalised and better at convicing kids in downtown Beijing that they need to have a utd shirt to live despite the fact they are unlikely to even know where Manchester is.
No. Man Utd have so many fans because they are succesful first on the pitch. These fans in asia follow teams that are succesful they are not stupid they do watch alot of football, if they see someone winning something they are going to support them. So its our success that draw the support of these fans. And also can we stop this myth that asia is a gold mine, its nothing but a mirage. Income from asia is only around 3% of man utds total income, man utd have actually closed stores opened in the far east. Most of those shirts are fake and man utd dont see much of that income.
The real gold mine is america baby, thats were the money is and the board knows this.

Tell me why do you think Roman was so keen to get Peter Kenyon to come to Chelsea?

He obviously has no infulence on the pitch and hence by your logic would seem a wast of money considering the vast amount he is being paid.

Kenyon is a great asset to the club, especially after sealing the £50 million sponsorship deal with Samsung

I am not saying he isnt, the person before you was trying to argue that the pure finnical sucess of man utd and arsenal was down to their progress on the pitch, that simply isnt the whole picture, they are both very good at commericalising football.

We need Arsenal to beat Liverpool which is likely as Liverpool suck:
a) The game after the Champions League
b) Away from Home
c) Generally they just suck

Then we need a point against Newcastle, life is good.

Because with the success they would acheive on the pitch he wanted someone who could maximise revenue through commercial routes, but in order to do this they need to be winning things just like man utd did. Tell me , why were they so keen to get rid of ranieri and bring in mourinho if success on the pitch does not relate to increased revenue.

Yes Kenyon is good at the commercial aspect of running a club, but he is not a miracle worker, the reason why chelsea are now attracting these lucrative sponsorship deals is because they are finally becoming succesful, no company will back a loser which chelsea were before mourinho came.

Man utd attract the big sponsorhips because they are succesful on the pitch not because of men in suits.

Kenyon did a very good job at Man Utd and hopefully he will do the same at Chelsea

obviously that is true, commercialising is very important but to be in that position you have to be succesful on the pitch. Chelsea have never been this succesful so they have never had this opportunity. Even arsenal dont really have this, the only clubs in england that do are liverpool and man utd. People actually say liverpool are more supported in asia than man utd due to their past succeses they still have a very large fan base.

Face it mate chelsea just have no history of note to claim :p:

Wow Man U demolished Charlton today, it was almost embarrassing to see the gulf in quality. If United had shown the same level of clinical finishing throughout the season they would still be challenging Chelsea - their problem hasn't been either their defence nor creating chances but actually finishing them, they've had a lot of 0-0 draws, and when you look at how many games Chelsea won 1-0, that's ultimately the difference. It's elementary talking about what could have been at this point of the season, but I don't really think the points gap between the 2 reflects the difference in quality, merely the surprising lack of the final finish on United's side for much of the season.
Nice goal from Fletch
Hmmm, I don't think it has been down to the finishing, but a lack of creating clear cut chances.
I think this is down to not a direct enough approach and a lack of good movement off the ball.
