 how if he retires
He's retiring because he's reached the retirement age for referees in Italian football, however the retirement age in English football is two years higher (47 as opposed to 45), so the FA are considering bringing him over here, both to prolong his career and to improve our refereeing standards.

Duly done , couldn't shorten your location could you?
I hope this is better.

And I would like to see the poll as part of this thread.

nah, i don't think you'd be able to catch a mod to change the poll. I just thought it would be cool to have a) a poll on peoples fav teams on going ala harry potter! and b) it provides a list of who supports who as its a public poll.

It could always be removed if yoou didn't like it.
Go on Ollie, I think you should merge them.

Perhaps there should be a weekly poll, so for different weeks you might have "who will win the Cup" or "player of the month" etc...
Brilliant Idea! Totally Agree!

It will keep the coversations fresh and primarily going, so that this thread doesn't die!

David James is unfairly criticised as a result of his mishaps at Liverpool and has been consistently good for the last few years and is in fact the best English goalie despite claims to the contrary, discuss.
Here's my two pence...

David James, while a decent stopper, is not the best in the country in my opinion. Chris Kirkland and Paul Robinson should be considered ahead of him. Also Richard Wright, when he can recover his fitness and form.

But Chris Kirkland has never remained fit for long enough to reach his full potential, Wright makes far more blunders than James and Robinson is technically poor. I think Kirkland's probably the future, but he definitely isn't ready yet.

One now. Make it good! Or just go to sleep and stay hanging on 999. Wait 12 minutes for an ambulance and...
