Hello all,
I started volunteering at a government funded 'day-care' for people with dementia, i've been going for around 4 months, once a week for 3 or 4 hours.
It's very inspiring.. dementia is a very big problem and how you can be who you are now; being able to perform daily tasks, going to college/school/etc.. being able to remember.
All of this can just suddenly vanish, where you cannot even remember your own name, or be able to perform daily tasks.
Mental health is definetly a big issue, something that a lot of people don't give much thought too!
I just wanted to share, i would definitely recommend others to get involved!

I volunteered with people with Alzheimer's for a while, it's a very sad condition to end up in and horrible to watch!
