Being called a wimp

Basically when I was 16 I got a job working in this food place in a celler on a conveyer belt, it was my first day and after a few minutes I fainted (panic attack thing) and never went back. Anyway ever since then Ive had this anxiety problem and my aunt keeps saying that when they were my age they did that type of work and that they are made out of stronger stuff. My cousin and his friend who are 19 have started working there and its suddenly become embarrasing cause he can stick it out and I can't, I just feel like a wimp I think they are getting at me because during our childhood it was always him who was the soft one lol who wouldn't go on rides etc. How can I stop them from calling me a wimp, am I really weaker or what

You're just suited to different things that's all. Why not try getting another job?

get a job as a police man!

edit: on a more serious note, don't listen to what they say. it may have been the store was hot, or something.. probably lots of people faint in there :p: so don't worry about it!

when they call you it, or sugest that you are a wimp, join in with then, laugh about it, and when they see that it doesnt offend or effect you, they'll soon stop -its the bully syndrome, they only enjoy it when they know it upsets the other person!

but inside, dont listen to them, dont believe it - because, quite frankly, youre not a wimp! everyone is suited to differnet jobs, just because you couldnt do that one doesnt make you anymore a wimp than a guy who could! realy, dont think anything of it, shake it off and smile, laugh about it

It sounds like you have some kind of anxiety, have you mentioned this to anyone at all, such as your GP?

I went about the fainting and he said everything was fine, I might go back about the anxiety though.

stop piggy backing on american terms like add and and panic attacks and get your ass down to the gym.

Failing that, a job as a hit man is always more middle of the road for the inexperienced.

Head out of ass, please.
If anxiety seems to kick in for no reason, and it's still a problem, I'd recommend seeing a counsellor. I hve a similar problem, although not as severe.

OK I did, but I think it's because blokes are stereotypically expected to be stronger  I've never really seen a girl worry about this! To be honest I'm a bit of a wimp and I wouldn't even try and keep up with the boys!! OP, if your family is expecting you to follow in the footsteps of your male relatives, just ignore them, and do your own, girly thing!

It does sound like it might go a bit deeper than that though, because of the anxiety, so I would still check with Mr Doctor

I used to have panic attacks and im not a wimp. They are nothing to do with being weak so tell them all to F**k off. Also, why the hell would you want to have a full time job picking things off of conyeyar belts. Your not missing out so atleast you can find yourself a better job!
