I would go back and re-read your notes, look back over books and articles you covered in class to remind yourself of what you were taught. The things you were taught will be the most important and it's good to remind yourself of those times. Otherwise, do some wider reading. Knowing more about the wider astronomy field will always prove useful, particularly following some leading astronomers.

Astronomy GCSE is getting scrapped and the last year you can take it is in 2016-2017.
Edexcel recomends a physics GCSE instead. Although it probably won't have the same level of content as a GCSE dedicated to Astronomy.
There is an Astrophysics module in Physics A Level that seems to go into the subject in more detail.
So if you're going to take it you NEED to in the next two years as it will no longer exist after that.
It's a fun GCSE and not too taxing.
Most useful when you are applying to a sixth form or university as they are always looking for grades.
There is coursework, however, there is not a lot.
I imagine your school would not be offering this (whoever is reading) but there are many websites which help you through the course like these:
http://www.astronomygcse.co.uk/Astro...e/IndexNew.htm
http://www.starlearner.com/gcse-astr...-learning.aspx

You will have to do a lot of the learning alone so you'll need books, probably these:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/162045990...689YSNZ954H8DH
http://www.amazon.co.uk/GCSE-Astrono.../dp/0953634574

I'm not sure if i'm going to do it myself so yeah have fun.

I did my astronomy gcse last year (and got an A*) and would recomend using astronomygcse.cf for revision as it has all the past papers and revision powerpoints to use. starlearner is also good but you have to pay.

You wont be able to do it this year as the exsam is the 20th May. You could do it next year as you can learn the content in a year. I did mine last year, if your not sure look at some past papers and revison stuff at www.astronomygcse.cf

You can always self-study it.
