Unusual cramps in right side

My period is due anytime now and for the last few days I have been experiencing the usual cramps, PMT, etc. However, this morning I had this weird cramp in my right side when ever I walked. It was like a stabbing pain in my right ovary (near my hip bone). It’s stopped now and lasted about 1 hour. My mum told me she sometimes gets it before her period but I've never had this before.

By looking at things on the internet it says things about ovulation pain but that occurs in the middle of the cycle, not at the beginning. Also I'm on Cerazette (a POP) but it prevents me ovululating. Could it be due to my pill?

Anyone else experienced anything like this?

Thanks
sounds like a side effect of the pill
It could possibly be appendicitis? See a doctor anyway...

Yea i usually get that in the middle of the cycle and it did one time just start all of a sudden. So it's not weird that you havent had this before. However, I dont take any pills, so it could be the effects of the pill youre taking. If it's just the usual ovulation pain, then you're fine, it's quite amusing i think, you get to know when you're ovulating!. If you don't think it's that, then see the doctor
