So, I was just wandering what everyone else has already done at school and what they are planning to do this summer at GCSE or equivalent. I'll start it off.

Results:
GCSE Drama - B
GCSE English Language - A
GCSE Maths - A*
BTEC Extended Certificate in Performing Arts (Drama) - Distinction
OCR Nationals ICT - Merit
So far I have the equivalent of 6 GCSEs

Predicted:
GCSE Art and Design: Fine Art - B/A
GCSE Biology - A
GCSE Chemistry - A
GCSE English Literature - A
Level 2 Further Maths - A
GCSE Geography - A
GCSE Product Design - B
GCSE Physics - A
GCSE Religious Studies - A*
GCSE Spanish - A*

Let's see what the rest of the community are expecting (expecting most of you to have higher grades than me). Also, it would be nice if you could come back in August and update us all of your new results. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

We were told we would be given predicted grades but I never received any. However I was told by my French, chemistry, English and maths teachers I should get an A*.

Results:
GCSE Further Maths - A**
GCSE English Language - A
GCSE Maths - A*
GCSE Religious - A*
BTEC Business - Distinction*
OCR Nationals ICT - Distinction

Predicted:
FSMQ Additional Maths - A
GCSE Physics - A*
GCSE Chemistry - A*
GCSE Biology - A*
GCSE History - A/A* (I only got B on coursework, but A*s in mock exams, and the coursework is only 25%, like 2 marks off A - would I be able to get an A*?)
GCSE English Literature - A*
GCSE Drama - A (No idea why I took this, I cannot talk most of the time)
GCSE German - B/A (Crap at speaking exams, so could drag it down)

For quantity I am quite thin on the ground compared to most of the other people in my year - I took maths GCSE before they decided to use a different board where they got 2 maths GCSEs (I was going to do the second from that one, but I did Further Maths instead and they decreed it would not be worth it, hence the Additional Maths), and for some reason I took BTEC Business as opposed to another GCSE. I also took Drama, but I have no idea why - I have the memory of a goldfish. Anyway, where was I. Oh yes, I have the memory of a goldfish . As for MFL, I was going to take GCSE French, but as I was getting it mixed up with German words (I said ich prefere in an exam... FML) and was only predicted for a B, I dropped it.

I think one thing that needs to be remembered is that people are not necessarily going to get these grades. For all I know (not sure if you were referring to me) I could go into the exams and do badly. Also, other than 6th forms and colleges GCSEs do not seem to have much impact - I believe it is not very often that a university will pass too much scrutiny upon GCSEs, and if they do it is likely (from conversations with some people) that it is weighed much more on A Level results - so if people feel the need to try and expand their ego based on GCSEs then that is basically pointless - a bit like if I said I could hold my breath for 10 minutes - granted, it is good, but unlikely to change my future too much (though it could if I were stuck under water for 10 minutes)*.

In AQA Further Maths it goes up to A* Distinction (A** in my post, A^ in another). You may be thinking of FSMQ Additional Maths which only goes to A.

Edit: Oops, misread, it said IGCSE Further Maths, in which case I am assuming http://www.edexcel.com/quals/igcse/i...s/default.aspx, so it goes A* - E.
