Spot treatment - Toothpaste

It works!!

Just been trying it for last few days and any red, inflamed spots, get cleaned up quite well. Don't itch at all or look as bad as it did before. it stung a little, but thats nothing.

Kept it on for maybe 30mins, then peeled the dried out toothpaste off.

Btw, i use sensitive toothpaste, b/c of my teeth..lol, maybe that played a part?

Anyway did this after a friend suggested it, and it was also on Brainiac (you know that shows the truth!), and Hampster said toothpaste isolates and kills the bacteria.

I had a REALLY bad spot near my nose, i picked it for a few days, then applied toothpaste. first it hurt so much the whole of that day, but after applying daily for 3 days it's completely gone.

Any1 else use this method?

I tried this a while back but it actually made my skin worse- my spots came up really sore, red and painful, and my skin was all blotchy, so I never used it again.

Tea tree oil is much more effective!

And the toothpaste thing DOES work! But I'm also addicted to the smell of tea tree oil, health shops have tea tree oil blemish sticks which you can use throughout the day as they dry clear.

toothpaste has been proven to reduce redness however it does not quicken up the spot going. leaving the spot is just as effective.

Doesn't make mine feel dry. It does sting my eyes sometimes though, that hurts.
Haemarroid creme or tattoo preparation works wonders as well, and it smells like Triatheles legs, always a bonus
when i did it it burned so much as soon as i put it on, i washed it off and never tried since.
