While i would debate that the sun can be considered a newspaper in any real sense, if that is true that is disgraceful! What reasoning was given?

What difference does it make? I don't care.
hmmmm ok and the rest of us dont? i get that she might need extra security or whatever but that still seems harsh im sure she could manage with the same time as the rest of us! Do you know where she will be studying?
Typical is all I can say. At the end of the day she's a human being like the rest of us.

The Sun should not be taken as the gospel truth, but...

It would be very unfair if she were in exactly the same situation as all of us, but we don't know what security issues there are and arrangements that need to be made with the university she's going to before she can attend.

Thats just disgraceful. We ALL need time to prepare for uni, why should she get more time. Its absolutely ridiculous and just goes to prove how selfish some people really are.
did princes william and harry not get their results on the same day as everyone else? i don't really see how she's any different. there would presumably be sufficient time to make security arrangement as i'd assume that her firm and insurence would have been planned out before hand so on results day all they had to do would be to implement the measures. sounds like theres people pulling strings needlessly to me. anyone have a source online?

this is the only reference i could find on the internet (under 2nd heading)

I read about that too and it's so unfair! Birmingham may need to make special arrangements for her, but a) they could probably do it after results day and b) why do they need to tell her what she got? Surely they can make any arrangements without her needing to know her results?
The Sun is hardly a shining beacon of truth. A friend's father used to write for them and told us he was actively encouraged to make stories up in order to sell newspapers.

They'd probably let her in if she missed her grades.

Probably? I think definitely! Think how many things Blair would do if they didn't accept her. He would probably find an excuse to cut funding etc. It's so sad that our society has such corrupt people with such a lot of power.
i want to neg rep her :frown: hmff.

My friend told me about a week ago that the Blairs had asked for her to get her results earlier but we didn't actually know that she was definately going to get them before the rest of us. It's so unfair, we all have to wait so why can't she! Also, I don't really understand why the university will have to prepare that much as I'm not sure many people would recognise her, I for one wouldn't.

On a side note, does anyone know if the Blairs two older boys got their results early as they went off to uni?

I doubt she will receive them earlier, The Sun just likes to victimise people and make villains out of them. The Sun is a grotty rag full of lies and I don't think I could bring myself to even wipe my arse with it, so bear that in mind before you start calling this girl "selfish" or whatever.

Spoilt brat, she'll get into the university eventhough she misses her grades so what difference will it make?

And the Telegraph?

It was in the Daily mail too, it's because they are going on there holiday or something, the daughters getting her results a week early so she can secure her place in uni. It pissed me off.
