Hii guysss,

My C2 mock is a almost a month away. In my college we do C1, C2 and D1.
I just really need ideas how to improve my grade for C2 as I'm getting U' and E' in my mocks. I've tried doing past papers and questions from the textbook but it doesnt seem to be helping.

I'd appreciate any help, because at this rate I will fail and I'm willing to work real hard until the exam.

Thankyou in advance!

Hi,
I'm doing the same exams for maths as you and I suggest splitting the exams up into the different topics and sort out each topic at a time so you know that you can do the topics. For C2 quite a lot of the questions involve C1 so make sure that you know that thoroughly and also your calculator can actually do quite a lot of the work if you know how to use it properly.
Hope this helps

Ok, why are you getting E and U grades?
Let's find a reason first.

I'm not sure, I mean I do spend time revising, but its just not proving to be effective.
Somtimes I genuinely don't understand a question,
and sometimes I make silly mistakes.
Therefore I loose so many marks

Yeaah, thats key, I forget that I can use a calculator due to C1.
However, I've split the topics, and I've done topic based questions that my college have provided but even doing so theres not been an improvement in my mocks. Hence my teacher thinks I do no work what so ever

I would say if you are getting E/U grades learn the basic content and take time on questions you CAN answer to rack up the marks in an exam.
A student who is comfortable with the content will not make enough silly errors to get an E/U grade.

Revise or learn it?
Each student finds their way of learning and revising.
For revision some like past papers (I don't). Some like revision sessions in groups looking at specific topics at a time. Some like PowerPoints, Some like videos. Some like reading notes.
Find what works for you but find something.

Hahah, Apparently past papers is key!
but so far yet to find something, but hopefully I will
With only 37 days to go, would it still be possibe to achieve a high grade?
Possibly an A/B?

I have no idea what you can get as I don't know your ability level. I have seen pupils go from E-B in short spaces of time yet I have seen some stay on E/U grades.
I'm sure you will have someone tell you they learned C2 the morning before the exam and got an A but in reality most who tried would probably score 1-2 marks.
Here are some of my thoughts on what can be done:

Your web site seems a really useful resource but it has a lot of usability issues.
