Hi my husband is looking to do a PGCE in primary teaching. Due to the high demand for places here in NI he will prob have to go across to England Scotland or Wales to do PGCE. He has been told that some unis allow you to do some of your school based training here in NI. Does anyone know which courses allow this?

Regulations require trainees on English ITE courses to be placed 'wholly or mainly' in England, so even if he could find a provider with links with schools in NI (Cumbria?) he wouldn't be able to do the bulk of his school based work there. Most schools in NI will (obviously) prefer to work with NI providers.
