So I'm planning to look for a flat for the next academic year, but I'm having problems organising the entire thing. I want to go home, out of the UK for the holidays, since I have to leave my student accommodation until 21st of June, but I don't know where to go from that - I take it that it doesn't make sense to look for flats from a different country, not being able to visit them and all. So the plan I had was to come back two or three weeks before the course begins and spend that looking for flats, under pressure, but the thing is there is no guarantee that I will actually find anything and I might be left without a flat cause student accommodation needs to be agreed on and paid for much earlier.
So I'm kinda stuck. All the flats I looked at so far are avalible from this month, so I don't know if there's an option of "booking" a flat without actually renting it now? As in have it guaranteed for me but moving in in September? I really don't want to end up living in the halls next year.
Or maybe someone has other ideas as to what to do?
