evisu jeans and cords

i know they're not exactly new, and were very much chav items a year or two ago, but what's the verdict on evisu jeans now? i mean the actual pairs of jeans, rather than the general product range. i need some trousers, or jeans, and feel like getting a pair.

as for the cords (i thought i'd post about them in this post rather than make an entirely different one), i feel like getting a pair.. can they be worn casually though, without looking like a gimp? could they be worn with a tshirt, rather than an actual buttoned shirt?

They are chavvy, but I personally only associate the clearly fake Evisu jeans that most chavs wear ~ there is a noticeable difference from a real pair and a pair from the market!

Get a special edition pair, turn heads and don't elicit chavness. Although they are really pricy, but their quality is worth it... and their comfy! lol.. Haven't seen any cords though?!

If you like them get them.

Avoid EU-ED Evisu jeans, the quality of the denim on those suck. If you're willing to fork out some more money, try to get some from the Heritage line or Japanese Evis/Evisu/Ebisu jeans, the quality is much higher and the gull doesn't look as bad.

in the words of sway:

'beneath the brand new evisu is a fool'

i just really wanted to quote sway somewhere on tsr

Yeah, the new Evisu isn't as good as the old.

I'm not really one for Evisu though, I wouldn't mind a pair, but I'd rather go to other companies for dry denim.

also, i meant cords from any brand, not evisu lol. i havn't bought evisu in years, didn't know the quality had gone down. i might just get a few levis then.. they're the only jeans i've had that properly fit. diesel are weird.

Denim aficionados always talk about how Evisu quality has lowered over the years.

Like I said, if you get some, try to make sure they're from Japan or the heritage line for some reasonable quality.

Any Japanese repro company makes high quality dry denim, other brands like Nudie (though people say that their quality is dropping too), Levi's LVC range, Imperial make nice dry jeans

I paid 125 quid for a pair about 4 years ago and hated them almost immediately. I have worn them exactly twice, and only because I felt I had to due to the price!! I dont know why I bought them.

If anyone wants to buy them, indigo blue with pink evisu signs on back pockets, size 10, they are all yours :p:

some of them i do think look chavvy. the ones with the sign all over the jeans in different colours, and also, the dark denim with lighter back pockets with the sign on they look quite chavvy to.
i have these http://www.evisu.com/Evisu/ProductDetails.aspx?language=en-GB&pid=EA06HJE02&cid=HTGMENSJEANS but in red.

Diesel, Hilfiger or Replay jeans are better quality than Evisu's, and cheaper as well. Not to mention they all are nowhere near as chavvy as many Evisu's.

Although I would still like one, not too ostentatious pair of Evisu's, some do look rather fetching.

Fake Evisu was for chavs! The real stuff was VERY expensive back in the day, I don't know about now though. I've actually still got an evisu jeans jacket (genuine of course) lying somewhere

Definitely a good choice! Levis make very nice jeans, they last long and look good as well .
Coming to think of it, I think timberland isn't too bad either, I've had a pair of timberland jeans for a while now and they don't show their age at all! I think I got them for around 60 quid
Yeah, I've tried Evisu jeans, and I find that they fit poorly to my body shape, plus I don't want some giant stupid logo across my buttocks like some try-hard moron. I'd just get a decent pair of Levi's and save myself a load of money. Alternatively, take a look at some of the Pepe jeans, as they last for years, and you can generally find a good fit for any body shape.

No they don't. If jeans were alive, Japanese Evisu would hand all those companies their asses, and then some. Even if their quality is lower than it was, it's better than those three (well, some Diesel models are quite nice), but when it comes to denim quality. Selvage > * (though selvage doesn't automatically make a good pair of jeans)

Japanese, perhaps.

However, the majority of Evisu jeans you see people with are either the fake ones or EU ones, which are vastly inferior to the Japanese ones.

And Diesel jeans are superior in quality(Stitching etc) to any other marque of jeans I've ever owned.

Didn't really want to necro the thread, but I didn't necessarily want to start a new one anyway:

Raw Evis(u) after being worn in after x months. They have a little secret behind them too.

One of the nicest Evis(u) jeans I've seen, yes it is.
