Good result

enjoy it for today

but take it for what it is, the FA cup.

Next season we have to push on in the league and CL

Spend some F***ing money you mongs

I still don't think we will win the CL with Wenger in charge, he isn't tactically astute enough for European football.

I agree, but i want to see an improvement at least

Hopefully the next contract he signs will be his last.
To demand a CL win is asking for too much. I just hope we win the PL very soon and I'll be more than happy

Not taking away anything from todays win though. Was a ****ing tough run and we got there in the end
Can i support Arsenal after exams are over? In leaving MU behind actually realized how little i know about them seriously unhappy with MU...Ive been to the emirates.I live in SW london-h8 chelski.Ratings to the goners.

To all those slating Wenger in the champions league remember:

1. We have faced the toughest teams almost consecutively in the past years. Bayearn Munic twice, and we were VERY close to beating them WITHOUT parking the bus.

2. Barcelona several times, and again, had van-persie not been sent off we would have beaten them.

3. We got a man sent of vs barcelona in 2006, we led the game for the majority of the time.

We played our philosophy. We have never parked the BUS against Bayearn of Barca in the 4-5 times we've played them in the early stages/last 16/quaters in the past 4-5 years.

Yes i agree, we can improve yes. Is Wenger good enough? Yes.

We need one GOOD in defence, one strong midfielder, and one world-class striker and we'll challenge for the quadruple.

Updated version of a classic Arsenal song;

2-0 down,
3-2 up,
That's how Arsenal won the cup!!!

Have you been speaking to Luke?

Lol Liverpool have spent £250 Million in five years only win a Carling Cup so Luke I wouldn't be mocking just yet.

yeah but it's much more efficient if you take in to account sales too (since that has contributed a lot towards our transfer funds) and then compare that to other teams.

but yeah, we can use the "rebuilding" excuse
after such a massive decline you can expect that money will need to be invested just to get back up to a decent level (i.e: still not even winning trophies)
now we're finally at a level where we can compete for trophies with a fair amount of confidence.

Nah it's just funny lol, Brendan has been talking all about Man City's resources. But Liverpool have spent loads as well, your defence is even more expensive than Man City's .
Woeful performance but a wins a win

You guys need to stop with this specialist in failure it's small time and mourinho is far more successful than wenger so it doesn't apply

that last bit is probably the most depressing thing i've heard in a long time

i don't disagree - we are so bad in transfers; we constantly overspend and don't generally get value for money.
i think it is more the sheer capacity of the resources; for instance, we may spend a decent amount, but we have a realistic limit
i think we have a 50m budger this summer + any money generated from sales

but a team like city or madrid doesn't really have a budget per se; they will just buy who they feel they need

i know FFP is trying to reduce these inequalities, but the fines have to be more severe than 50m to a team that has billions
they need to be potential exclusion from the CL altogether rather than just slightly reducing their permitted squad number

What a stupid statement.

He brought us to the final in 2006. My guess is you were too busy watching Tracy Beaker to even remember.
