How long did it take?

I was just wondering how long it has taken people generally in a new relationship to feel and to say " i love you"? I've bin in a relationship for a month and a half now and just curious to know how its affected others? thanx x

probably around 666 seconds into the relationship that you HAVE to say i love you.

Never happened for me yet and I have had a 27-month relationship... :frown:

The worst thing you can do is say it when you don't mean it, because then you're obliged to keep saying it all the time!

About two months... only said it after three months :smile:

And too right- never say it if you don't mean it. Better to wait and be sure... and don't say it just because they say it.

Last 3 relationships- 1 week, 4months and 2 days respectively.There is no say-by date.Do it when it feels right and when you know for a fact you mean it. Thats rich coming from me ¬_¬ lol

THe number of people I know who said I love you to their partner, only to say a few months later that they were only imagining that they were in love.

Though I got into a right mess with saying it when I didn't mean it... so I made sure I meant it before I said it this time :smile:

don't agree with that either. It's not like there's just infatuation and then love (and even then, I don't agree there's much difference). It's so easy to say afterwards, when you experience new emotions for someone else, to play down anything you had experienced until then. All the time I hear friends say "I thought I was in love but it's only now, with my current partner, that I know what love is".

How long did it take?
