I was given a deadline of 1 week and all of a sudden, my manager changed the deadline from 1 week to just 4 days, and he told me on the 3rd day! He mentioned that my work was almost completed so I could finish if off on the 4th day. I told him that I still have some work to do and I need to check my work, but he insisted that I can finish it within the 4th day. I asked for the other days but he said that I'd be classified as "late" if I did that

    Is this even fair?

I think you just need to accept that things like that can happen in your job. If he still changes the deadline and you can't deal with it, you either confront the tool or you quit. (Quitting would be the worst solution possible).
