    Yeah they are 100% identical. The GMC decided that they should give it two different names because only the most intelligent would be able to work out which one is required by the university and hence would lead to selection of only the most intelligent candidates.

    But yeah, they are two different things. BMAT is mainly oxbridge/Imperal/UCL and UKCAT is most of the other unis. You should go into their websites to find out more about these tests because they are really important.
